About Backroom Bill

The Backrooms are an endless maze of buzzing lights and damp yellow carpet, and Backroom Bill drops one nervous explorer right into the middle of it. Viewed from above, this top-down horror game by Basurita Games asks you to sneak through empty corridors, grab strange anomaly pieces and slip away before whatever lives down here notices you.

How to Play Backroom Bill

Each run in Backroom Bill is a quiet search that can turn into a chase at any second. Move through the halls, pick up the anomaly pieces scattered around the level and keep heading deeper. If a creature spots you, forget the loot and run. The further down you go, the less the corridors seem to make sense.

Anomaly Pieces and the Monster Codex

Collecting is only half the job. Every monster you survive earns an entry in the codex, so each close call adds to a growing record of what haunts the underground. Filling that book becomes a goal of its own and a good reason to push one level further than last time.

Tips for Surviving the Yellow Halls

  • Use the overhead view to scan the corridor ahead before stepping into it.
  • Grab the nearby pieces first and leave risky ones until the path looks clear.
  • The moment you are seen, stop collecting and focus only on getting away.
  • Remember the routes you have already walked so you know where to run.

Spooky, but Not Too Spooky

The hand-drawn cartoon style keeps the scares light, which makes Backroom Bill a solid escape game for players who enjoy tension without gore. Anyone looking for a quick boys game with a creepy twist can start a run on desktop, phone or tablet.
