You wake up in a dark, dusty bedroom and the door is locked. Somewhere in the house, an old woman with a bloody bat is listening. Granny is a first-person horror escape game where every creaking floorboard and dropped object can give you away. Stay quiet, stay hidden and find a way out before she finds you.

How to Play Granny

Explore the house room by room, searching drawers, cupboards and shelves for keys, tools and other useful items. In Granny, the front door is sealed with several locks, so you will need to collect the right objects to open it. Another route leads through the garage, where an old car can be repaired and driven out. Item locations change every game, so memorizing one run will not guarantee the next.

• W, A, S, D: move
• Mouse: look around
• E: interact or pick up an item
• Space: drop the item you are holding
• C: crouch or stand up
• R: hide in a wardrobe or under a bed, or come out
• F: disarm bear traps, place items or use objects
• Left mouse button: fire a weapon
• Esc: pause

Five Days to Escape

You have five days, which means five chances. Each time Granny catches you, you wake up in the bedroom on the next day. Fail on the final day and the game is over. Besides Granny, watch out for her bear traps, a crow and a giant spider lurking in the basement.

Choose Your Difficulty

• Practice: Granny is absent, perfect for learning the house
• Easy and Normal: a fair challenge for first escapes
• Hard and Extreme: Granny becomes faster and far less forgiving

Survival Tips

Drop items on carpets or soft furniture instead of bare floors to stay silent. When you hear footsteps approaching, slip under a bed or into a wardrobe, but make sure she does not see you hide.
